Rita, Noah, and the power of God...

So, you might notice that my posts are below an area of empty space, well that is because someone totally unqualified has been messing with my html codes....and somehow now I have this large empty space. If you are reading this then obviously you were smarter than the space! Sorry for my html ignorance!

Right, so we are making evacuation plans for Rita as she prepares to hit the Texas coast, at perhaps the speed/intensity that would qualify her for a category four hurricane. To be quite honest, I am scared. I don't like unknowns. I am very aware of the power of weather, and I don't like it.

Which brings me to Noah. God, the commander of our weather, is flexing His muscles. Okay, so I don't really think that is it, but whoa, this should direct you to an awareness of a power outside of yourself. If it doesn't, there might not be hope for you....

We were talking about Noah today in first grade and I asked them how the door to the ark got closed. One little boy said, "Jesus closed it because He is the most powerfulist (yes, that is the correct word) person in the world."

Most powerfulist...

How often do I let myself be amazed at the power of God? Not just the control, protection, and strength that God has, but His mere power. The fact that in the greatest struggle that could ever take place on heaven or earth or under the earth was (and is) His victory, hands down. No questions asked.

Most powerfulist....

Who powers our ultimate source of light? Who allows it to rise each day? Who imagined the need for the sun? Stars? Moon? Lightning? Do I really allow that to sink in?

Most powerfulist...

Who has the power to soften even the hardest of hearts? Make an impossible thing possible ten times over? Create human life as if there was nothing to it, just the way the world works?

Help me to never stop wondering about Your power.

Most powerfulist, I stand amazed.
