An exciting day in the Kingdom...

I had a rough week.

When I look back on the week and think of all the things I would like to have changed, or to have avoided, or to have erased completely; my list is quite extensive.

But, in typical Creator fashion this week held some amazing Kingdom milestones for me as well.

First, I had dinner with my tennis coach from high school. When I was in high school, he was my favorite teacher. This may not seem like a huge Kingdom milestone, except for the fact that when I was in high school he was not walking with the Lord. It was a couple years after I graduated that he got right with God. The coolest thing to me was that we sat at dinner and talked about the two missions trips he took last year. Can you believe that? What a day of rejoicing for the Kingdom!

Second, (I am going in chronological order here, not that of significance) a little over fifty of my students now have Acts 2:38 in their memory banks. They can say, and sign, this verse. God's Word is hidden in their hearts, and what power and truth there is for all of us within this verse:
"Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

Third, the foundation for the first building of Creekside Christian Fellowship was poured on Friday! Our church is not even two years old, and God has done such a mighty work in this Body of believers that we are already pouring the foundation for our first building! May even more lives be touched by Your people, for Your Kingdom, through the use of this building. I thank God for the way He has used this family, and the ministry He called me to at CCF, to restore my faith and my heart for ministry. May my trust in You grow stronger everyday Father. Thank you for all You are doing in and through the body of Creekside. I am humbled to be a part of it...

I am continually amazed and humbled when my kids recite their memory verses to me. They are by no means angels, but there is something quite angelic that comes over them when they speak and sign their verses. Thank you, Miss Liddell, for partnering with Freddy and me to grow Christ-followers. We love you! BTW, as I am writing this Joey is in the living room calling the dog 'Poop Mouth'. What an angel.

Cara, it is a humbling honor to be a part of growing Christ-followers. And I learn so much from the children, and their parents (you are doing an amazing job...). I love you, and your precious children, too!
