Yesterday was Sunday.
I love Sunday.
I have the most peaceful drive out to my little church in Needville.
I enjoyed a Cinnamon Dolce Latte on my way. (You have to try this drink!!!!)
But something happened while I was there. Something amazing. I forgot for awhile about the past several weeks events. I looked around and saw God at work, and it amazed me.
I had two new volunteers who had never served in children's ministry before. But they were willing to step up and take a risk because they saw it important to the Kingdom.
This week I am praying for one of my volunteers who will be sharing the plan of salvation with during our children's hour next week. This is the first time he has ever done this!!!! Praise God for his willing spirit and eager enthusiasm.
And then as I left church I was talking to a precious friend of mine about what God had been doing in her life. As she asked me the same question I was first moved to respond about how God continues to challenge me through community.
I have been reminded, in a rather quiet and gentle manner, that there is great eternal significance to what God has called me to do. I don't think I have forgotten that, it just wasn't at the forefront of my mind recently.
This is true for you to. Whatever it is that God has called you to do, it has eternal significance. Salvation is hanging in the balance, and your reflection of Christ, your pursuit of Him, or your relationship with Him impact and influence salvation.
May that be at the forefront of your mind today...
