Ashlee and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day...

Did you ever read that book growing up? (Okay, it was Alexandar, not Ashlee...but you get the point.)

Well, I had every intention of writing about how unlovely my day was.

But for some reason, once I have removed myself from the crazy of today...I keep thinking of great things that have happened to me since I last posted.

So, here is my new list..... Ashlee's crazy, full of life, jam-packed, thrill a minute day (or last 36 hours!)

  • Drove to Corpus Christi and back for the memorial service of a man I never met. But, one of my students and her parents (whose father passed) were grateful for my presence. I realized how much my sacrifice helped validate the loss they are suffering.
  • Went to my first "official" cooking class! LOVED IT! Thanks Amber...
  • Received TWO free coupons from Starbucks in the mail....
  • And used them after our cooking class! Now, I won't even mention that they sent them to me and NOT to Amber! (oops, did I let that slip out?)
  • Teachers, students, and administrators dropped like flies (you name it, we got it...lice, flu, fever, vomit.....) to the conclusion of NO SCHOOL for 48 hours. The entire facility must be uninhabited for 48 hours to kill any eggs, then the school has to be steam cleaned and treated. BOTTOM LINE; a day to make up for all the time I missed while traveling to and from the funeral!
  • A chat with a good friend...always bringing a smile to my face!
  • Another volunteer signed up to serve on one of my teams at church!!!

There you have it, a typical day and a half in my crazy, and wonderful life!
