Today is my good friend Amber's birthday!
We have had a wonderful month of celebrating our birthdays in big and small ways. I am so thankful to have someone who loves celebrating their birthday as much as I do.
In fact, I don't think my birthdays were quite this much fun when it was just me celebrating.
So, in honor of Amber's birthday here are ten things I have learned, and loved, about being friends with her....
10. Secrets have no place in true community.
9. If other people can do it, make it, bake it, grow it, (the list could go on forever) then she can to. And by she, what she really meant was us!
8. Chocolate and coffee go hand in hand, and have lots of theraputic qualities. Neither can be fully beneficial when consumed alone...
7. There is always a reason to celebrate!
6. Super mom is not a myth, but a state of being. (Yes, less than two weeks after having her third child she was throwing a birthday party, complete with homemade cake, for child #2).
5. Food can build community, from pizza dip to sugar cookies, it all works the same.
4. Real friendship sometimes includes being a meanie!
3. Baseball really is America's favorite game! Thanks for introducing me to one of my great joys!
2. Road trips are always possible, even several months pregnant!
1. You can find life long friends anywhere, and anytime, God brings them into your life....even in Texas!!!
Thanks Amber, these past four (is it really almost five?) years have been wonderful!

Yay, my very own birthday post! (I saw it yesterday but didn't have a chance to comment.) Thank you. :)
I do have to point out that most of the things I do wouldn't be possible without the family and friends I have that go along with my craziness. But at the very least, we always have fun, right? :)
Awhh... *sniff, sniff*
