So, I held a Fiesta for my children's ministry volunteers on Sunday, and one of my totally fabulous volunteers took some amazing photos...
I just wanted to share them with you!
This is one of my amazing male volunteers and his son, getting in the spirit of things!
So, here I am in my "authentic" costume, in mid-sentence... we had homemade tamales and soft tacos.
And this is a view of all the tables, and decorations, and most of my volunteers....
And because I know that you wanted to see my table decorations up close... (don't you love the mini sombreros?!?)
I think everyone had a wonderful time, and I certainly hope they felt appreciated.
It was a night that marked some real mile stones for me, and perhaps my ministry and our church. We announced our plans to begin Upward soccer in the fall.
It was a night that is etched into my memory more for what I think God has been whispering to me, and to my heart, than for anything else.
It's like the enormity of what He has called me to do has only begun to set in.
The reality that I have dozens of people looking to my leadership, and I have no idea what I am doing. None.
But, because of God alone, the panic I feel in my heart is met (and matched) with a supernatural thrill. Intense excitement. Unexplainable desire for more of the unknown, more of the uncertainty, more of His plan for this ministry than mine.
So, here is to hoping that all of you have a wonderful, and celebrated Cinco de Mayo weekend....take time to celebrate! And let me know if you need some mini sombreros!

The mini sombreros were really a big hit...I am saving them for other festivities, but highly recommend them for fun fiesta like parties!
