A game to remind you why you love the Astros!

A couple quotes from today's Houston Chronicle.....

"All I said was 'No way, no way' and I took a couple of steps toward him so he could hear me voice my displeasure with his decision, and he threw me out of the game," Berkman said, "That's when I ran over and said, 'why'd you throw me out of the game? All I said was 'no way,' and he wouldn't respond, and from there it became a circus."

Last night's circus included, but was not limited too; Berkman having to be restrained by the 3rd base coach (and others), thrown gloves, a thrown bag, Carlos Lee being intentionally hit by the opposing pitcher, the dugouts and bullpens emptying onto Coors field, Garner being ejected, and Luke Scott hitting a 2 run homer as the grand finale!

The circus reminded me why I love baseball, and why (no matter how dismal this season looks) I love the Houston Astros.

I don't know this for sure, but my guess is that Lance Berkman has been ejected less than five times in his entire major league career.

And just in case you were wondering.....the umpire WAS wrong. Gotta love instant replay that has no bearing on the game what so ever!
