Okay, so it was my idea to blog about this subject matter, but I must give credit where credit is due....
On Friday night the topic of the spelling bee came up at our home group. Several people commented on how much Joe probably looked like this kid when he was 13. (I will let them out themselves, if they so wish!)
So, I thought it would be quite funny to do a comparison of Evan (congrats spelling champ!) and Joe. You weigh in and let me know if you see any similarities at all...
Keeping in mind that Joe is a good 15 years Evan's senior....is this what Evan will look like in a decade and a half?
If you don't find any humor in this at all it could be because;
1) you are named Joe and think I am talking about you....
2) you ARE Joe and currently commenting something to make me think twice about using you as post topic again
3) you are not a part of our home group, and therefore would also NOT find plastic roaches funny either....
4) You just need a vacation
5) You have not yet watched the You Tube video 'Baby got Book' (go, watch it now!)
Hopefully the rest of you are smiling.....

Wow, there aren't words. You know there was a time in my life that I would have taken something like this personally and made the person responsible feel so small they would cry. I actually derived a great deal of pleasure from it. I like to think that I am a better person now. Lately, though, I have been tested.
Oh, and by the way, the ears and chin are all wrong, and the widow's peak is a bit too pronounced; otherwise, it's spot on. As a 5th grader I made it all the way to the area spelling bee. That's right, baby, what's up now? I must say that I have seriously been blessed. A word of advice for this little guy and all the others who are made fun of for being more intelligent than everyone else. Fully embrace the brain God graced you with. The ridicule may be difficult to cope with when you're young, but dang if it doesn't pay well when you get older.
The resemblance is uncanny! Great pics, you made me laugh. :)
