Last week we cancelled our Friday night home group due largely to weariness from sickness. But then, we found out some of our fave people were coming in to town, so we all decided having restaurant at a dinner would be easier.
On a Friday night.
With a party of 14 (actually 16, but two didn't need their own chair or highchair).
On a Friday night.
Because it would be SO much easier.
Says the group of people who spend 50 Friday nights a year together, eating in...
Needless to say, it was a bit of a rough start to our evening but fun to be with friends we don't get to see often enough.
This week, we are definitely having dinner in. And, something I have been very excited about....homemade cinnamon rolls! The Pioneer Woman's homemade cinnamon rolls.....
So, what's your plan for dinner tonight?

easy quick. probably burritos for the kids and some kind of lean cuisine for me. nothing crazy and fab.
i'm leaning toward beef stew. it's back to cold here, so warm stew it is! plus, the stew meat is on sale and i have everything else here at home. pretty exciting, right?
ok so I had a burrito instead. Baked in the oven so it was crispy...mmmmm. But the fab was the 100 cal chocolate/white chocolate chip cookie thing.SO fab. So Chocolaty
I was going to do a pork loin with new potatoes, bell pepper, and onion...but I absolutely did NOT feel like cooking. So we went to NY Pizza instead! I had an eggplant parm sandwich and a glass of chianti. Mmmmmm...
I made PW's cinnamon rolls at Christmastime. They were good--I did my own icing, though, b/c I don't like maple.
So where did y'all show up with 16 people?!?
What exactly are Pioneer Women Cinnamon Rolls???
Oh Andrea! The Pioneer Woman is the author of a fabulous blog thepioneerwoman.com.... you will instantly become an addict, I promise!
Anywho...she has a whole section on cooking, and is due to release a cookbook sometime this year I believe... I have tried several of her recipes and not been disappointed yet.
The cinnamon rolls were delish, and the dough is pretty sturdy as far as yeast doughs go.
It her version on potatoes that make me drool! And well the Jalapeno thingies. OH my
