Okay, this might sound a little strange, but I dreamt of Narnia last night.
After going to see the movie, I was completely taken into the magical land of Narnia. I was astonished at the visual representations that had been created for C.S. Lewis' literary masterpiece.
I was moved, once again, by the story. The internal struggle to decide to live a life of sacrifice or not. The implications of faith; in one's own self, others, and Someone unseen. The believable portrayal of evil and how simply, easily one can fall victim to its grasp.
The most amazing part of the movie, for me, was when Aslan was gathering up faithful troops. (In an attempt to keep the story disclosed for those of you who MUST go (RUN) to see the movie I won't explain the situation...). These faithful followers, faithful believers of Aslan, these creatures who had given their lives believing in, hoping for, and longing to see the prophecy fulfilled; were given new life. Aslan simply breathed on them, and slowly they came back to life. What an amazing visual portray of Christ making all things new!
What was your favorite part?

About 15 of us went and saw the movie last night. I thought a very few parts of the movie were emotionally overdone, but I have to be honest...I was crying 50% of the movie. Not exactly because of the content, but it was one of my childhood dreams come to life. The LW&W was probably the first book I ever read by myself.
The producers said that if this one was successful, they would do the rest of the books. We went at 9:50 last night and the place was packed.
I wont pass total judgement on the movie till the DVD comes out..There were quite a few scenes that they left out.
Although I never had the opportunity to read the books, the movie, I thought was great. I heard, this morning, that it took in over 67million this weekend, which is really good. I'm sure we'll be seeing another installment in the future...
My favorite part was when Sir J.J Redick fought and succeeded in overthrowing The Evils Emperors of the Meadowland Hardwood otherwise known as "UT Basketball"...I mean, to see good triumph over evil was awesome! God is truly a Duke fan!!!
Maybe UT should try basket-weaving...
Oh Josh...there are no words for your comment....no words at all...I am glad you got your victory....
