Why I love my job...

Some of you know that I have struggled at my school this year. There have been weeks where I would have traded it all in for a job at Wal-Mart. But there have also been some amazing and wonderful moments where I have seen my students encounter God and embrace His Word. These are the moments that keep me going in the midst of turmoil.

Well, this morning I was grading test papers from last week and found myself just cracking up at some of the spelling mistakes my third graders were making.

I just had to share with you some of my favorites....

There memory verse had "Holy Spirit" in it and here were my favorite mistakes...

Holly Spirit
(you know Christmas is still very much on their little brains...does this make the "Holly" Spirit a girl???)

Holy Spitie
(some people believe in holy water, this young mind believes in holy spit! And yes, it was a boy!!!)

And my personal favorite...

Holy Sprite.
(If ever you thirst for something in your life, call on the Holy Sprite to quench your thirst!)

What more can you say?

I hope this makes you smile today, or even laugh out loud, like it did for me!

I am so thankful you love your job. My favorite 1st and 3rd graders talk about you everyday, always bringing a smile to my face!!

HZ... I think you are right, I should just keep posting my funnies from the day and the start of my book will be well documented! Today one of my 3rd graders compared the Trinity to a bug, each having three separate parts but making up the same one thing. (BTW, for those not taking 3rd grade science, a bug has a head, thorax, and abdomen!)
Thanks Cara...I am sure you hear some stories that don't relate to Bible as well!!! Your children are precious to me...
