PX; Praise Experience

I love my children.

I LOVE my children.

They are so precious. So very, very precious.

God has laid a discipleship program on my heart, and we are calling it PX; Praise Experience. Students who are entering fourth or fifth grade next year are eligible to apply (they have to fill out an application and get their parents to sign it!) and then they have an interview (which have been going on this week) and then if they are chosen they have to sign a contract!

So, this week they have been having their interviews. They have said the most incredibly hilarious things, as well as the most intensely profound and mature things.

I sit and marvel at the comprehension and understanding a nine year old can have of spiritual things...

I had one little girl tell me she felt God was calling her to be in PX. She said she knew because when she prayed about it, God told her. Another little boy told me he felt like God was calling him to be in PX because the more he prayed about it, the more excited he got inside.

Can you even imagine? The power of praying children, children who believe that God can and DOES speak to them. AMAZING.

Do we even believe that?

I guess I just get so discouraged by the lack of faith that sometimes surrounds me (or reigns in my own heart).

How blessed I am to have these giants of faith surround me.

How blessed I am to watch them allow the power of Truth to transform their lives.

How blessed I am to hear them talk about how exciting and cool learning about God is for them.

What a wonderful reminder it is for me of where He desires me to be...of the child-like faith He longs for me to cling tightly to, and of the excitement that comes from speaking to my Creator.

Jesus, help me let go. Help me surrender. Help me become more like them.....
