Hilarious....

yet thought-provoking, would be the way I would describe the book I am currently digesting.

[re]Understanding Prayer; A fresh approach to conversation with God by Kyle Lake is my current favorite pasttime.

This book would be hailed as heresy by some in the church today, I am certain of it.

I highly recommend this book to anyone reading this blog....highly!

Quote for the day, "So maybe, just maybe, some forms of prayer promote "good Christian lives" while other forms of prayer promote the actual following of Christ. Is this possible?"

*A side note; the reason the blog posts have been so infrequent has lots to do with the devastation of my once favorite baseball team into a group of boys with bats and balls rather than the defending National League Champions. Brad Lidge must go. Jason Lane must not occupy room on our bench. Something has to be done about Morgan Ensberg, and QUICK. Munson needs to be in the lineup for at least two of every five pitchers and please dear God bring Brandon Backe back with something to prove. Oh, does anyone want a lefty for household chores....because Wandy needs to never see the light of day in another Astros uniform.

Wow....You're starting to sound like a Ranger fan! Do I smell the sweet scent of conversion?

I called it at the beginning of the season...Houston will not be half as good as they were last year. I still stick by it....And a bit of advice: you guys still have half a season left. Look at last year...the best may be yet to come. Come on!!! Be a supportive fan!

As for your question about the book: YES. It is entirely possible. I'll elaborate when I'm not so tired...
