The title is purely for my own enjoyment....I love to make myself laugh!
But today, I kept having these quotable moments by my kiddos that made me ponder the difference in our sexes....
The funniest ones are from second grade.....so, I will share...
One little boys shirt was untucked, which is against our dress code, so I told him to tuck it in when he came over to ask me a question. He is trying to tuck it in, which is not an easy feat, especially when you have a belt on, and he can't see that he is missing the back completely.
So, I offer to help.
"No, I don't need any help. I am a man."
SECOND GRADE! Are you kidding me?!?!? I was dying.
Then, later in class, another little boy had a quotable moment. They have these "bugs" that serve as bookmarks and classroom management tools during Bible. Well, the are ladybugs, but I have made a habit of referring to them as "bugs" so they boys don't throw a fit.
Well, today I asked a little girl to pick up her "lady bug off the floor", and the boy sitting next to her loudly proclaimed, "I have a MAN bug."
Two completely different kids, radically different homes, one absentee father, and yet they still possess the same engrained sense of their manliness.
How much of our masculinity and feminity is written on our hearts by the Creator?
How much varies from woman to woman and man to man?
And how much can our environments or personalities alter?

The wonder of sex, or shall I say the sexes
God, I pray these two boys will grow up to be strong, confident, God-fearing men. I pray they will embrace every ounce of the masculinity you have written on their hearts, and that they will raise up God-fearing children of their own.
