Is it found in the coffee beans?

That thing that makes coffee with friends, rejuvenate your soul.....is it in the beans?

As I drove home from coffee last night I came to some tough realizations about myself, and some things I was choosing not to acknowledge.

And then I realized something that I think Rob Bell has been trying to scream into my head (read Velvet Elvis....read it!!!!)

I was closer to Christ than I had been before I went to coffee.

Why?

Because we prayed? Nope....no prayer.

Because we read our Bibles? Nope....don't know if Amber even owns one! Just kidding of course!

Quite simply I was closer to Christ because of the honest, genuine relationships we share with each other. Sure these relationships are founded on Christ and in His word, but through relationship alone one can draw closer to the Creator.

And so, the hope of the lost world perhaps hinges on us figuring this out.....or maybe not just figuring it out, but being willing to invest in these kinds of relationship.
