A Day to remember...

Today.

Today was a day I will probably remember for years to come.

I don't even know how to put it into words, but I am going to try it anyway.

For the past two months I have worked endless hours trying to prepare for today. That's not what made today special.

For the past two months, my stress level has been at record heights.

My lack of sleep has made me a person only my closest friends could possibly tolerate.

But over the past ten days, God has started to bring clarity to the past several months.

This clarity has provided me peace. This clarity has reminded me of the precious gift of grace that has been lavishly given to me.

And this clarity has reminded me of just how much growing up I have to do.

Today was an amazing example of how God chooses ordinary people to accomplish amazing things in His Kingdom.

We had a record high attendance in our children's ministry, and everything went off with barely even a hiccup.

We laid sod on a huge new playground area for our kids.

And I was reminded that the local church truly is the hope of the world.
