I can not even begin to explain everything that has happened since I blogged last.
Let's run down the highlights:
-got SUV stuck in high water
-waited in said SUV for almost two hours while rain continued to pour down
-the highway our church is on was shut down (over 12 hours)
-said highway is pretty much the only road through needville....
-soccer evaluations began
-soccer evaluations were inside
-prepared for said evaluations to be outside..... (have you been catching on to the water theme???)
-there was no water at all in our church building were said evals were to be in less than three hours from this lovely discovery....
-senior pastor made me mad..... (really mad)
-realized said pastor was trying to help
-realized I should tell him thanks for caring about me enough to not tell me what I wanted to hear (haven't done that yet.....)
-thought about being a spy.
-thought about quitting soccer
-thought about buying a boat
-thought about cussing at the top of my lungs, settled for a more pleasant tone
-almost lost a really great friend due to my hyper-intense emotional response to said water falling from sky (she might say this is not true, but if God hadn't calmed me down she might have hit me......)
-have laughed and cried more in these three days than is recommended.....
-oh, and the astros fired their GM and manager (woohoo, unless you are said GM or manager!)
But right now, I type this filled with excitement about what God is going to do during day 2 of soccer evals (inside.....) :)
For those of you wondering if we are close to the 100 mark, we are about 25 off as of right now.....keep praying, I know they are still out there.......wondering, waiting, contemplating the possibility of soccer IN Needville......

It was always a little hard for me to get upset with ol' Phil because he looks so much like Rick Eubanks!
: O your RIGHT!! He does!
That rain was probably scary being in..I know I was wondering if I should have built an ark when I saw peoples trash cans floating down the street and the water started coming in my back sliding door. BUT b/c of the rain.. IT just SLIDES open now! AH. God is good!
wow...sounds like you've got quite a little task ahead of you with the soccor league. I haven't read all the details as to how this all got started, but it certainly sounds like a good idea. I'm glad to hear you survived the rain:) much love...
Oh Cara, it has never been hard for me to be upset with Phil!!!
