Oh such fun!

This weekend I hosted an appreciation event for my volunteers at church.

As my volunteers have grown in number, I have had to get creative in what kind of party I can afford to host and still show my appreciation for all of their sacrifices.

So, an afternoon of coffee and chocolate was in order. Two chocolate fountains, six pounds of chocolate, 100 or more mini cheesecakes, eighty or so cream puffs, peanut butter rice krispies, bananas, pretzels, and apples galore, mixed together with some fab coffee and creamer and you just enjoyed our afternoon.

I think it was a huge hit with my volunteers, and I absolutely love my chocolate fountain!

Here are some pics from the event....

Such a good idea! Did you do anything else other than hang out and enjoy each other's company? I am getting ready to do one of these myself and would love some ideas!

I try to do at least two volunteer appreciation events a year....one spring, one fall. Usually we just eat and fellowship; then I take about ten minutes or so to cast a vision for the upcoming months and connect their role to the big picture of our church.....

A couple of times I have tried some themed activities/games and usually they aren't that popular.....

What are you going to do for yours? I love sharing ideas!!!!
