Sugar Cookie Love...

So, I have thought a lot about taking pics of my fab new car, but just haven't made time for it this week....hmm. Sorry!

But, I sure have had the best week driving around in my new (still nameless) Honda Pilot. I am so blessed, and so grateful for the way God has blessed my life.

And this week, I had a wonderful (and extremely thoughtful) gift to help me celebrate my new car.

Amber, mother of three kids under the age of five, home-schooling her oldest, amazing friend of mine; made me new car cookies!

What? You haven't ever heard of new car cookies? Well, Amber has a secret family recipe for sugar cookies (which she decorates with her homemade frosting) and she made me millions of red, sparkly, new car cookies!

Okay, I think it was more like 7 dozen, but they were so amazing! The teachers at my school were hooked, but somehow I kept getting the same response. She made YOU new car cookies? So, YOU got the new car and the cookies? That is quite a friend you have!

Thanks Amber for being so excited about the things in my life. You are an amazing friend.

P.S. Heidi, you have to try these sugar cookies because they put VanderHamm's cookies to shame! I knew you were probably the only one who reads this who would truly appreciate that!

Hey there, you've been doing quite well on your blogging frequency. Keep 'em coming! I'm anxious to know what your Pilot's name is! Maybe you will have the news at Bible study.

Congrats on the nameless car, and wonderful celebratory cookies!! (Hello to Amber- New car cookies are a very cool idea!)

I am excited for your new car...boy or girl? I have lots of name books I can look through for you! :) I think that Amber is great, too and love the idea of new car cookies. I don't know that I truly believe that they blow VanderHamm cookies out of the water....that will require a taste test, which I'm sure you can understand.

Well, the new car is definetely a boy.....nameless, but a boy.
A taste test is in order my friend, but alas, Amber does NOT share this recipe. That is how GOOD they are!
:)
I miss you friend!

Lisa, see, I do reply to comments!!?!?!?

I'm just glad I chose new cars as the event to make cookies for people since it's not likely to happen all that often! :) Not that I don't love to make them, it's just not usually on the agenda...
