FYI

Dear Faithful Blog Friends,

You might wonder why I would post a picture of a seemingly broken key fob (or door clicker for all those like me who simply call things by their function instead of correct label!). Well, loyal readers, I have a public service announcement for you. If you possess such a device, or any kind of remote entry device to your car (that operates by battery) this is your lucky day.

If you read your owner's manual, you will surely be able to locate what kind of batteries your particular device uses to function. Go now and purchase a spare battery to keep in your purse.

Seriously. Go now.

You see, this past Sunday night we (lovely gals in the picture below and I) went out to celebrate Lisa's birthday. We all jumped in our cars to go to our second destination, except for Amber. Her key fob died, and with no warning what-so-ever she could not get into her car.

This might have been cause for panic for some, but not this lovely group of gals....

I busted out my trusty Christian pocket knife (known to some as a Swiss Army knife, but to my first graders it is a "christian" pocket knife or Miss Liddell would not have it at school....!) and we were able to pop open the device and discover what kind of battery it needed.

Fortunately for all of us, Amber was not far away, or with all of her children, or in an unsafe situation... With relatively little time or stress we were able to come up with a workable solution.

So, you are all warned now. If it happens to you, and it very possibly could, you can be prepared.

Get yourself a back-up battery next time you are out. They are less than five bucks, and it will be so worth it if you find yourself unable to get in your car!!!

Check out our lovely desserts from the Dessert Gallery! MMMMMM....I had my leftover chocolate cake for breakfast on Monday!!!! It was heavenly, both times!!!

Happy Birthday Lisa, sorry you had to wait so long for this celebration, but I sure hope it was worth the wait!
