Sunday finds, volume V

This week was almost a baseball edition of Sunday finds. But, alas, I feared Lisa would never look at any of my links again!
Instead of focusing on our "pitcher gone wrong" this week, I decided to share this touching story about one of our most surprising pitchers this season. Before every game he writes two letters in the dirt on the mound, "FM." You simply have to read this article.

This edition of Sunday finds, is going to include a survey. I need a new swimsuit. Ugh, I know. But I have decided to leave it in your hands. I found two suits I like, in my size, and on sale. But, I am totally torn about which one to pick. They are on sale for the same price and everything. So, although this isn't really a "find" everyone gets to benefit from, you can help me decide which one to go with. I will order the one with the most votes by Tuesday, so leave your vote in the comment section. (You can vote by color)

If you are having a Patriotic Picnic, or any kind of gathering for the Fourth of July, you will enjoy these finds. I was going to try to make 45 of these but then realized I would have no way of keeping them frozen! So, then I thought I might try to make this instead. Or perhaps I should stick with my original idea of decorate your own star cookies....

Well, I think that wraps up this week's Sunday finds. Hope everyone has a wonderful, relaxing 4th of July week!

I'm blog famous again! Does that make ME a Sunday find??

Both suits are cute, but I vote for the pink one!

All the fourth of July food...are we doing something?

If it helps at all Jadyn's pick is "I like pink all over, I mean, pink and black, yeah, I like pink and black."

I know, shocking, but I figured that might sway the voting.

My, my...I never thought it would be so clear cut. Anyone else out there going to join in the voting fun?

well, actually, i was going to vote for the blue one but since everyone else is voting for the pink, now i'm confused.

do i go with the flow? do i bend to peer pressure?

do i go on my own?

oh, this is much too difficult for a monday morning!!

i stand firm on...BLUE.

i can be a non-conformist.

oh, and those uncle sam ice cream thingys...way cute! i might have to make some of those for our shin dig...

And Terri, way to stand firm! The problem I was having was the bottom of the pink suit...I don't know if I like the flowing skirtish part on the pink as much as the straight skirtish part on the blue one....

What do you guys think about the bottoms?

terriH said...

that's what i didn't like on the pink one either. i like the straight skirt better.

i stand firm on BLUE and STRAIGHT.

:)

Pink: 4 (amber voted by phone)
Blue: 1

I think it is safe to say that we have a clear cut winner. Although, now I am second guessing giving YOU guys the power to decide.

:)

I know I said I would wait until Tuesday, but I might just go ahead and order it tonight!

Hmmm...I think I prefer the pink, too. And I formed that opinion before I read the other comments. :)

Ooh, I was just looking at these myself! Have you seen the backs to 'em? Very cute and criss-crossy : ) Did you know the pink can come in blue?

And, can a person vote in halfsies? I love the pink, but unless the skirt is sewn to the suit bottom on the left/right sides -or- the skirt material feels slightly thick (to better absorb the water), be mindful it *might* float upwards while you're in the water. Girl, I'm saying this from my own *blushing* experience based on the summer I volunteered as a camp counselor with a group of tater tots. The kiddoes thought I had a magical suit and on the last day of camp, introduced me to their parents by telling them they wanted a suit with superpowers, like mine. Oh my!

The blue style though, looks very sassy and sporty, easy to move in - and you'd get some verrry artistic looking tanlines to remind you of summer! Oooh, and if you subscribe to the store's eclub, they will instantly send you a coupon code to save at least $25 bucks with your total purchase!

Ugh, that was one loooong comment! But a swimsuit selection is verrry important business : ) Looking forward to learning which one you chose!

Suit Update...

I went to order the pink suit, and the swimsuit gods had other plans. I guess because it is on sale, it was only left in a couple sizes....you guessed it, and not mine!

So, blue it is. But I really do like both of them.

And, I had a coupon that made the swimsuit almost free (less than $10).... what a steal!

So, thanks for voting, it really was so nice to know you guys cared so much about my swimsuit ordeal... :)

I guess I am a little late on the voting, but I was going to vote for the blue one. I did't like the bottom of the pink either...glad to see you got the suit for so super cheap!
