A shocking email

You guys know I love to blog.

I love reading other blogs.

I really love reading YOUR comments on this little blog.

And, I love to find out that people I know and love read my blog, but don't comment.

I just love the whole big mess of the blogging world.

I love it so much I read blogs of people I don't know, and probably never will. They have "cool" blogs, where people comment in the hundreds. Where they make some mula from ads, and they have a real live "readership."

But when I read these blogs I ALMOST NEVER COMMENT.

I guess it has something to do with the fact that I "don't really know these people" or perhaps knowing that many people are reading, means that those same peeps would read my response...

Who knows.

But you know me, sometimes I just really think people should know what I think about something.

And yesterday, I went a step beyond "commenting" on this very big blog I read faithfully.

I emailed this blogger my opinion.

Oh yes, oh yes I did.

(I know you are rolling your eyes...)

And the most amazing thing happened, HE EMAILED ME BACK!!! Not just a standard "thanks for bringing that to my attention" kind of email, but a personal response, with the same humor he blogs with.

Even more, the response came in less than thirty minutes from the time I sent my email. WHAT?!?!

And so, today I encourage you to read around some over at Ragamuffin Soul, and know that Carlos is serious about community and authenticity. They aren't just buzz words, he lives them, and usually shares when he messes up!

Oh, and if you are worried that he still has "May's Flava" up, don't be. He is going to change it. I promise. He emailed me to tell me he would....

Oh, it is so silly, but so me! He started a feature where he introduces five bloggers he is reading, and he still had up his picks for May (May's Flava). I spent most of June hoping he would change it because, well, it wasn't May anymore.

When July was upon us, I thought it was time to act.... So, I emailed him to see if he was planning on changing it come July....

:) Special, I know.
