I had a wonderful weekend.

Not only was I able to take Sunday off, but I was able to be with our entire (immediate) Liddell family.

I think the thing that really struck me this weekend was how rare it is to be able to do what our family did, and attempts to do every Christmas. Everyone was willing to make sacrifices to clear their weekend just so they could be together.

Perhaps what is even more rare is the fact that we just enjoy being together. From late night chats, to enduring differing (and strong!) politicial views, we simply spent the weekend together.

And to top it all off, we were celebrating six decades of married bliss for my grandparents! What an incredible legacy they have left to each of us.
