Prologue to Palace Life, a series of life lessons...

It was our junior year at Manhattan Christian College.

The first year we were allowed to live off campus, and required to leave the dorm.

It meant no dorm rules, no curfews, no cleaning checks, and boys were allowed to be anywhere we wanted them to be in our living space.

We found the perfect house. It was a beautiful stone two story house with a large porch across the front of the house. It had a huge basement which included a large finished room, and washer and dryer hook ups. A first floor that included a large living room, dining room and kitchen and the second floor had three more bedrooms.

The wallpaper and appliances were quite a bit outdated, but it was the peak of luxury for us.

Heidi, Jamie, Renee and I were beyond excited about moving into this fabulous house of luxury.

We had no idea what the year ahead held for us, and I certainly had no idea just how much I would learn that year.

What I do know is that I hold a special place in my for that year, those precious friends, and all God would teach me through life in "The Palace."

Oh Lisa, I will have to "show" you what happened to my phone....

Lil James... you don't remember the serious moments?!?

I had totally forgotten about the toilet...what did happen exactly. Hmm...I also remember it being Renee's fault, but don't remember what happened......

This is going to be fun!

And I suppose your out-of-state readers will just have to guess what happened to your phone? OH the suspense...

yes, renee was putting on lotion and had her foot on the toilet and the back part of it fell off somehow....i had forgotten about that too...

some more to add: gerbil cage remnants to fix the driveway, the "dead mother" doing our lawn work, ryan sanner's saturday laundry marathons, THE PARTY, definitely the squirrels, man...so many great memories
