Sorry for the delay...I was hit with a bout of fever and yuckiness last night and could force myself to blog about the mystery gift.....
Without further ado....
I got a gift today. From my boss, Greg.
It wasn't wrapped, at least not in any kind of decorative paper or bag or bow... He simply handed one to me, and one to Joey.
It is rather boring, and extremely practical. It was in some kind of plastic packaging, with lots of instructions.
It is something I never thought I would own. Ever. EVER.
It probably came from some kind of hardware store, like Lowe's or Home Depot...ugh. These places make me crazy! They were in a bag from one of these stores, I simply can't remember which one. As far as I know neither of these places sell Top Hats or Canes Lisa.... sheesh!
I think I have to do some kind of assembly before it works correctly or serves its purpose.... double ugh. In fact, I have assembled it. Not sure if it is assembled correctly, and that is why I am not posting a picture of me wearing it. Yet.
It is something I asked for (and am really, really excited about!) but not the version I requested.... I asked for a pink one. Greg says they didn't sell pink ones where he bought them, but told me I could sand mine and paint it pink. I am still trying to decide how to make it uniquely mine...

aw man! i should have known!!! you can so totally paint it pink. and then we can order Uppercase Living embellishments and fix it up right!! :)

Yaaay!! Thanks Heidi! I'm thinking: STICKERS!! I used to have tons of stickers, many of them PINK Lisa Frank variety. I MIGHT still have them. The plus side: no sanding involved.
Sorry to hear that you're sick :( I'll see if I can rustle up some of those stickers of flying hearts and cows with sunglasses on. Very 80's.

Put some stickers on it...or spray paint it with an outline of your name or something.

here i am...nope,didn't get fired...just got busy. yay for lisa and yay for ashlee and her new pink hard hat. as heidi said above...we'll definitely be needing a pic of you in your lovely pink hard hat...soon, please. :)
I bet BRIGHT COLORED SHARPIES would make it really pretty too.
