Survivor Junkies unite....

Okay, I have been meaning to see what my Survivor friends thought about the events of this week, and just kept forgetting to post about this week's episode...

For those of you who missed it, the good guys lost. It was rough. But, the winning team got to send one person to exile island, and consequently saved that person from being voted off this round....

The most amazing thing happened with the remaining four tribe members though. And for all the seasons I have seen, which is almost all of them, I don't think this has ever happened before. The four people left were all in an alliance together. They had been since the beginning, and had actually honored that alliance without hesitation this entire season.

The fascinating part though, was that when it came time to vote someone off, one of the guys went to him and told him why he was going to vote him off. Told him how highly he thought of him, his character, etc. and how sad he was going to be to see him go.

Now, there have been a couple times where tribes have let someone know they were going to be voted off, and it ALWAYS has come back to bite them in the butt. ALWAYS. Something always changes, and the person who was told they were going to be leaving, cuts ties with the alliance and fights to save their own tail.

This time, no fighting. No alliance breaking. No stirring the pot fighting for self. This guy honestly "took one for the team."

I am still really quite amazed. Refreshing to see that kind of character and integrity can not be swayed by the prospect of fame and fortune....very refreshing...

What did you think?

heidi, you are too funny. i watched survivor last week as well and yes, it was nice that they all were nice, however, i'll be interested to see if it lasts with the remaining guys when little what's her face (the cutie blond...what's her name??) comes back from exile island. you know they want to vote her off but i wonder if they will treat her with the same kind of respect. know what i mean??

but, personally i am a big fan of Cirie cuz she totally cracks me up as she just sits back and watches everyone else get crazy and all bent out of shape. and will somebody please push shane into the ocean so a shark will eat him?? seriously, that guy is a loose cannon with a major case of identity crisis. i mean, really, what is up with swearing on his son's name? who does that??? nutcase.

so, anyhoo...

All I've got to say is Survivor: Mars, or Survivor:The Moon, losers get voted out an airlock. Now, THAT would be a "Survivor" that I could get behind.

Until then, the whole thing just seems too staged. Sorry, Ashlee.

Your human interest piece was nice, though.
