I hope one day to possess this much humility.
I know not everyone is a sports fan, but this article is just too good to pass up.
Michael Irvin was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame this weekend. For those who haven't followed pro football at all in the last decade, that means nothing to you. He was one of the greats who happened to be part of the Cowboys, under the watchful eye of Jimmy Johnson, and played with greats like Aikman and Emmitt Smith.
Although most people probably think of the scandals that Irvin was caught up in on and off throughout his career.
There were too many to count.
But this, this is what is right in the world. This is true humility.

That is an awesome article! It took me three tries to read it b/c I kept getting interrupted, but once I read it...WOW! What an awesome role model and father. If only I had half the humility and honesty he seems to. I had goosebumps while I wsa reading it!
"The difference is Irvin has made his mistakes in public, while we make ours in the shadows of life."
Wow. This sentence gave me goose bumps.
Who says sports isn't life-changing!?!?!? :)
Missing me some Melanie and Joey....already. :(
sniff, sniff.
