so are tuesdays your favorite day? why?
i don't know if i have a favorite day of the week. my favorite day this week will be saturday because that is when joe comes back from north carolina (camp conference). or maybe sunday...we are doing our "night at the oscars" volunteer appreciation night...i'm super excited...kristie is catering and our "nominees" will be receiving the "golden pencil" award...yeah, sunday will be a good day...busy, but good
I have some weird associations with the days. Mondays of coures are summarized on Office Space with inspiring a "case of the Mondays." Tuesdays are neutral for me. The big beginning of the week is over, so Tuesday is like a lull. It reminds me of "Tuesdays with Morrie." I've never eaten at Ruby Tuesday's, but that's a random Tuesday thing too, and the store Tuesday Morning.
Wednesdays are fun because they are coffee night!! They've always been special. I think cool things are purposely on Wednesday as a mid-week pick-me-up. An awesome local Al-Anon meeting is on Wednesadys. A few years ago Wednesdays used to be my Street Reach then a great college-aged Bible study night, last year The Biggest Loser was on Wednesdays, and a long time ago my fave, Dawson's Creek, was too!
Thursdays are kind of like Tuesdays because they're right beside a significant day. Thursdays can never be too bad, because you can always think "Tomorrow is FRIDAY!" Friday is awesome- nothing is very stressful because you know you have the weekend. Plus Bible study for me with awesome friends!
Saturday and Sunday are my favorites because I can do anything I want more often than other days.
HZ...no, tuesdays are not my favorites, I think I might have to go with Wednesdays (at least consistently) and this year Fridays have often times been a Sabbath for me, so I really have loved that.
I can hardly wait to hear all about your oscar bash! Please take some pics (like you won't be doing enough other stuff....) or something so I can steal all your great ideas for next year!!!
Lisa, thanks for the detailed comment. I must say that I have a lot of the same association things with different days as you do.....odd?!?!?
Thursdays. I like them b/c I don't have to go do anything. I usually have the house and most of the laundry done. And the kids seem to be mellow after school.
