Calling all parents....

If there is one book you would want to be written, what would it be?

(okay, non-parents can answer too, but I am curious as to what parents out there are looking for that they can not find...)

So, spill it, ask friends, comment for them if they don't blog, but fill me in. (and, if you could tell me how old your kiddos are, that would help as well!)

totally off the subject... it is the 'pink' box that hold the text...it needs to be a different color.. i like the wallpaper tho. Maybe a grey or a black..lighter pink..The bright pink makes the text a little harder to read....
just an opinion. ; )

what book do you want to read??? sheesh.

i think it is too much pink too. I am one of the undecided votes. I love me some pink, but holy cow...right?

and I would have to edit the html code to accomplish your suggestion and I don't want to figure that out. So, if anyone out there wants to tell me I will try it out.... :)

Yes, I am begging....

i don't know of any good parenting books cuz i'm a new step parent. but i would LOVE a good book on step parenting. would LOVE it.

and i'm in agreement about the pink. it kinda blinds me a bit. but i do like that background graphic...it's way fun.

okay, so on the whole color changing thing...here's what you could do possibly...i think...

in your HTML code, you should find statements like:

Variable name="bordercolor" description="Border Color"
type="color" default="#f301e4"

that color of #f301e4 is the hot pink color. if you can, change it to: #ffccfd which is a much lighter shade of pink.

also, anywhere you see #e2d8ce...that is your text and other items that are that color (which is kind of a light tan). i would probably change that to black and that number is: #000000

if that works and you want to use different colors, let me know and i can find the numbers for it.

if it doesn't work, then whoopsie, i know now what i talk about...which is entirely possible!!

good luck!!

and actually, i would go through ALL of your code and change the hot pink number to that new number...:)

If my blog disappears into cyberspace, I want it on record that Terri encouraged me to edit my own html code!

:)

Okay Terri, I am going to try. I did see odd codes like that....then thought "I don't belong here, I know not this language"

Terri, you are my hero! So, now what does everybody think....

and you two non-likers out there, you can change your vote.... or not.

I changed mine from undecided to yes... oh what fun. I am going to have a new poll every week I think!!!

Yes ma'am, I sure did vote :)

I would like to know WHO the 'no' votes are... ashlee are you STILL undecided??

Ashlee Liddell said...

Nope, I switched my vote to yes after all the color changes got ironed out. It was really cool to watch the bars change, so it doesn't always register your vote as the initial vote.

It is fascinating to me that so many people voted....unless people voted multiple times from various computers???? how does this work???

Ok - I must fess up - I voted no. But it wasn't a harsh no. It was a "I can't feel my retinas because it's too bright pink - but I love you Ashlee, and it's your blog so you can have it whatever color you like - but it's not my cup o tea" No.

:)
