It's Friday!

I was wondering through Target this week while chatting on the phone with Heidi.

I had put a couple shirts in my cart and ran across a pretty cute one that was out of my price range. I started talking about the shirt to Heidi, and we made an interesting discovery together....

It seems that we both gravitate to solid colors.

Truth be told, we both have a little (tiny!) inner fear of becoming the old lady who thinks she is so. in. fashion. with. her. new. fangled. shiny. windsuit.

And so my question on this poll dance Friday is fashion related....

Do you think a closet full of solid color tops is the first step towards being totally out of touch with the fashion trends of the day???

a) what else could it mean?
b) yes, it is the first step, but you have several more steps until I will refuse to be seen with you in public!
c) No way, it has nothing to do with the color, more with the style of the tops....
d) No, trendy accessories say any outfit!
e) are you sure you want to take fashion advice from me????

So, think through your closet and fill me in....

C) I had a LOT a TON of black tops. They are all different styles. Now I am trying to venture into other colors. But I think solid is good.. i hope. : /

e) of course. I buy all solid colors too, if that helps (probably not a sound fashion move). :) Any pattern or design seems tooooo complicated for me.

My closet is full of solid tops. I'm always running late in the mornings, and knowing I can just throw on a solid colored sweater with a pair of slacks and look pulled together makes getting ready a little easier. I can wear most of them with jeans, too, so it also works for the weekends. Boring but practical! I was just thinking today that I should buy a few summery tops that have some sort of pattern, though. :)

You can jazz up just about anything with well-thought accessories. I agree with Amy that it makes it easy to mix & match...dress it up or down. Not that I'm an expert or anything. But at least I don't own any shiny windsuits!

Clearly ALL my blog readers have very sophisticated fashion sense.....since we all pretty much answered this question correctly!
