Day Two

Well, I woke up early this morning just so I could make sure and blog before I was gone on a field trip today with MDO. Don't want to leave Jamie and Heidi hanging!

Today's gift was in a cute box, which my initial guess was from Amber. Inside the box was a tealight candle holder. It has a wonderful smelling tealight in it, and I love the style and look of the holder. It is something I would have definitely picked out for myself!

After opening the gift, I thought perhaps it was from Tami. But I really have no idea!

Today's envelope was from Sara Kruhmin, formerly Sara Refner! WoW! I have no idea how you guys pulled all this off!

My senior year at Manhattan Christian College I was the house mom for a group of sophmore girls who got displaced from the dorm. The campus was growing and the dorm no longer held all freshman and sophomore females, yet school policy stated they all had to live in the dorm. So, the school moved a handful of girls into a large house, and asked me to come live there and enforce the rules!

I can't even tell you what kind of condition this house was in, because it was bad. These girls got a pretty short stick having to live there. But a really amazing thing happened that year, we became a family. Each of those girls still holds a special place in my heart. Sara, thank you for the letter!

(I don't know if I mentioned this previously or not, but the pages that these letters are placed on are simply gorgeous! I will have to figure out a way to let you all see the final product.)

Guess what? I'm turning 30!!!
